The article entitled “Capitalism and New Press Surgery” by Soviet Union Gen. Uzbek Nieer was published in the tenth issue of the Soviet Union’s “Communists” in 1959; in the eleventh installment of the same year, the Soviet “Philosophy Issue” Published an article entitled “Social Consequences of Science and Technology Revolution” by Victor Perlo of the United States. Both of these articles argue on the basis of a large amount of data that the development of new technology will not bring new vitality to capitalism and revitalize it, but will, on the contrary, exacerbate any contradictions inherent in capitalism more dramatically. The arguments in both articles strongly discredit the fallacies of the capitalist defenders and the modern revisionists about “a new era in which new technologies opened up capitalist prosperity” and “new technologies are gradually transforming capitalism into socialism.” Here are the highlights of these two articles.
