该文以北京市“八五”森林资源二类调查材料为基础，按不同林种类型和立地条件的组合因子，应用数据库数据处理方法，将三级区水源保护林划分为：生态型、生态经济型、经济生态型三个区．并对每个区依实际情况分为：好、中、差、改良４个类型．对不同类型提出了合理利用、维护、改良及改造的对策和建议．
