钱基博的名字,可能有相当一部分人不太熟悉,但是提起钱钟书,知道的人就太多了。钱基博是钱钟书的父亲,也是一位著名学者。钱基博(1887～1957),江苏无锡人。字子泉,号潜庐。自幼经书文史均习,10岁时读《史记》,13岁时读《资治通鉴》,家学基础深厚。民国初年参与新文学、新文化运动。辛亥革命时任职于苏浙联军及江苏都督府,之后历任清华大学、无锡国专等校教授、校务主任等职。1925年参
