随着中国工业化进程的迅速推进,一些传统的综合农业技术在对它们的潜力作出合理评价之前就消失了。粤南基-塘系统的有机在业和废料循环已实践了数百年,至今仍为当地人民提供了稳定的收入和多种收获。就单位面积的产值而言,这种系统是世界最高产的。在基-塘系统内,营养物的流失和化学品的使用降到了最低点。对基-塘概念进行研究,有助于发现简便的方法以减少食物生产对环境的有害影响。
With the rapid advancement of China’s industrialization process, some traditional integrated agricultural technologies have disappeared before they can be reasonably evaluated for their potential. The organic industry and waste recycling of the Yue-Nan-Tong system have been practiced for hundreds of years and still provide steady income and various harvests to the local people. In terms of output per unit area, such a system is the highest in the world. In the base-pond system, the loss of nutrients and the use of chemicals has come to its lowest point. Research on the base-pond concept helps to find simple ways to reduce the harmful effects of food production on the environment.
