Due to a paucity of historical material, biographers often have a preconceived position to preach for early modern playwright Christopher Malo, and Malo’s dramatic work is one of the major sources of this presupposition. On the other hand, in the process of composing biographies, dramatic works turn to corroboration of the biographer’s image of Malo’s biography. However, after all, the drama is not autobiographical, and novels and poems and other literary styles are not the same, to interpret Marlowe’s drama is equivalent to the author’s own biography will undoubtedly hinder us fully understand Malo’s drama art; the same time, with the help of fictional drama characters Constructed from the Malo image will inevitably have an inherent fictional color.
