The factors that affect the pricing strategy of airlines have always been one of the major concerns in the aviation field. Based on the economic theory and econometrics, this paper tests whether the multi-market competition of airlines leads to the increase of the average ticket price. This paper chooses the data of ticket prices of all the 410 domestic flights between the 30 major navigation cities in China’s civil aviation market for the empirical analysis. The results show that there is a significant positive correlation between the multi-market contact index and air ticket prices, Although the correlation coefficient is smaller. This shows that in China’s civil aviation industry, more market contacts to a certain extent reduce the intensity of competition among airlines, that is, a multi-market high degree of contact routes, companies tend to take a more moderate pricing strategy to avoid competitors in other routes Retaliation eventually led to a higher fare on the route.
