Pilots’ dry landscape in the Eden, unforgiving torrential rain and years of watching attention have long embarrassed the poster at the entrance to the base. It was a picture of an F-4E fleet that flew over the Old City of Jerusalem on the chalk wall under the shadow of an old banyan tree. Just above the picture is an enlarged metal badge for the Israeli Air Force, placed in close proximity to the badge with the two words in bold type - two words sufficient to convince each and every one of the aspiring passionate men - Ha TovimLa Tayis “Pilot’s Eden”.
