矿井提升设备为用电量和金属用量最大的矿井固定设备之一。一些使用中的提升设备的安装功率已经超过3000千瓦,箕斗容量在运行速度为12~14米/秒以下时,往往已达到了35米~3。随着预定井深达1600~1700米和采煤的进一步强化,提升设备的用电量和金属用量还会增加得更多,这就要求对矿井提升设备的设计从根本上采取新的态度。此问题的必要性还取决于矿井提升设备中单个部件通用化和标准化的进一步改进。
