Based on continuous fiber-reinforced, semi-formed thermoplastic composites, structural parts with a large surface area, extremely thin and light weight can be designed. These components also integrate various functions, just as the new Mercedes-Benz S-Series convertible, with just 1mm in thickness, can accommodate multiple controllers. The stent was manufactured using a hybrid molding process using a continuous fiber-reinforced semi-formed polyamide 6 composite Tepex dynalite 102-RG600 (2) / 47% from Bond Laminates GmbH of Brixhaven, Germany.
