改革开放以来,我国旅游业发展迅猛,1978年至1994年,来华旅游入境总人数累计达3.57亿人次,旅游创汇额累计达348.58亿美元,平均年增长率均在20％以上。我国旅游外汇收入在世界上所占的名次已由1978年的第41位跃居第10位。1995年1月至9月,全国旅游创汇67亿美元,预计全年可连80亿美元。旅游设施建设、旅游景点的开发与保护、旅游人才的培训以及提高交通运力等方面都取得了很大成绩。据统计,全国现有各类旅行社4.382家,旅游涉外饭店2.995家,拥有客房40.63
Since the reform and opening up, China’s tourism industry has witnessed rapid development. From 1978 to 1994, the total number of inbound tourists to China reached 357 million. The accumulated foreign exchange earned from tourism amounted to 34.858 billion U.S. dollars, with an average annual growth rate of over 20%. China ranks the tenth in the world in terms of foreign exchange earnings from tourism in the 41st place in 1978. From January to September 1995, the country earned 6.7 billion U.S. dollars in foreign exchange and is expected to reach 8 billion U.S. dollars in the whole year. Great achievements have been made in the construction of tourist facilities, the development and protection of tourist attractions, the training of tourist personnel and the improvement of transport capacity. According to statistics, there are 4.382 types of travel agencies in the country, 2.995 foreign-related tourist hotels and 40.63 guest rooms
