为了解“早翠绿”在商丘的适应性,2011年春季将其引入国家苹果产业技术体系商丘综合试验站,观测其生长和生物学习性、物候、产量及果实经济性状等,并结合原产地相关特征进行分析。结果,“早翠绿”在商丘市嫁接第3年结实,第4~6年的产量(10.7~20.5t/hm~2)高于原产地济南7和8a的(8.8和9.5t/hm~2),且其生长与生物学习性、单果质量、果实品质等与原产地基本一致,部分指标略优于原产地;同时,在商丘,“早翠绿”树势生长旺盛、早熟、对病虫害的抗性较强。商丘引种该品种的综合性状优于原产地,适宜在商丘市及周边黄河故道地区推广种植。
