A “Glory Book” was transferred to Zhang Huidian, deputy chief engineer of Baosteel 20 Metallurgical Co., Ltd. His soft soil foundation anchor support technology won the National Excellent Prize for Construction Technology Progress Award. He rejoiced, his thoughts pulled him back. A few years ago... Shanghai’s first Sino-Japanese joint-venture five-star hotel, the Pacific Hotel, was tendered for construction. One of the technical problems is that the foundation is deep and the soil is soft. According to the traditional method of construction, in order to prevent the collapse of mud after excavation, long steel tubes should be stacked against the steel sheet piles attached to the four walls. However, as a result, the internal components of the pit are staggered vertically and horizontally, which makes construction inconvenient. Moreover, the 80-meter-long batch of steel pipes is difficult and expensive to source. Obviously, finding a more reasonable and scientific new construction plan is an important part of the bid for the construction unit.
