包立民:百卷本《中国书法全集》已出版了十五卷:在文化界、学术、艺术界产生了很大的影响,所以今天召开一个座谈会,先请主编刘正成同志来谈谈《中国书法全集》这个选题的意图和背景。刘正成:今天有机会谈《中国书法全集》,我认为是很重要的一件事,对我的工作是一个支持和鼓励。主编《中国书法全集》有内、外两个方面的原因。所谓外因就是:当代中国书法的发展在近四十年受到日本的促进。二战以后,日本的生活方面基本上全盘西化,但书法却一直作为保持民族精神的重要的文化艺术活动同和服一样保存了下来。早在四、五十年代,日本就编了一套《书道全集》(平凡社),其中中国、日本各占十五卷尔后,还相继出版了《定本书道全集》(五十年代)、《中国书道全集》。这几套书都是用日文出版流行全世界,致使西方人误认为书法是日本的。七十年代台湾大陆书店将《书道全集》中的中国部分十五卷翻译成中文出版。我初学书法史时即用这套书。这对我们从事中国书法艺术研究工
Bao Limin: One hundred volumes The Complete Collection of Chinese Calligraphy has published fifteen volumes: in the cultural circle, academia and the arts have had a great impact. The so-called external cause is that the development of contemporary Chinese calligraphy has been promoted by Japan in the past 40 years. After World War II, the life style of Japan basically completely Westernized, but calligraphy has always been preserved as an important cultural and artistic activity to maintain the national spirit. As early as the 1940s and 1950s, Japan compiled a set of “Complete Collection of Roadshow” (an ordinary agency), of which China, Japan, each accounting for 15 volumes, but also have published the “set of books” (fifties ), “China Book Road Complete Works.” These sets of books are popular in the world of Japanese publishing, resulting in Westerners mistakenly believe that calligraphy is Japan.
