According to the latest geologic data of both sides of Brahmaputra River in Shannan area, this paper attempts to explore the time, reason, form and course of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau uplift. It is well-known that deep-faulting develops in the area along the Yajiang River. The ultramafic rocks and intermediate-acid magmatic rocks are large in scale with complex strata and structures and obvious metamorphism. They are of great significance to the exploration of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau uplift.
