The world’s first health food Tiansheng Cordyceps Tablet based on domesticated pure grass powder has been approved by the Ministry of Health and officially put into production. According to expert assessments by mycology, medicine, nutrition, and food science, the major nutrients and medicinal components of the tablet are significantly higher than wild Cordyceps sinensis. According to measurements by the Physical and Chemical Testing Center of Shenyang Institute of Applied Ecology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the main functional ingredients of the drug are cordycepin, cordycepic acid, and cordyceps polysaccharides, and cordycepin is significantly higher than wild cordyceps sinensis. Director of the Center for Development of New Drugs of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Liaoning Province and Professor Dr. Liu Wei of the University of Bonn, Germany, said that domesticated Cordyceps militaris is a quality strain obtained after multiple purifications. The effective ingredients of the product are not subject to any loss, and the bioconversion rate can be increased to 110% and the highest is 168.3%. The cordycepin content of the product was 0.2%, cordycepic acid was 97.11%, cordyceps polysaccharide was 13.5%, wild cordyceps was 0.001%, 76.8%, 11.2%, respectively.
