铁路路基问题大部分是由于不断增加的轨道荷载(运量增加和速度提高)或者排水系统和道床维修整治不及时所造成。一旦路基出现病害,轨道几乎无法再修复,路基整治的费用则会是标准工务维修费用的8倍。奥地利铁路路网公司根据15年的施工经验和针对重载铁路运营现状进行的调研结果表明:在路基大修作业时,增加铺设路基保护层,无论从技术上,还是在经济效益方面均能解决这一难题,这是一项成功的技术。
Much of the problems with railway subgrade are due to increasing orbital loads (increased volume and speed) or improper drainage system and ballast repairs.
