Nu River Grand Canyon is particularly early New Year. The Lisu people on both sides of the strait are holding a grand “Kashgar Festival” (meaning New Year). At home, people worship ancestors and congratulate each other or hold crossbow, dance, song and other recreational activities in the village. Next day they bring their luggage and food to the hot spring “Spring Bath” (aka “Bathhouse” ). People repeatedly bath to eliminate disease, enhance immunity, have plenty of energy into the new year of labor production, at the same time, the bathhouse will also be a good time for young men and women through song to meet friends.
