Since the 1960s, pull-wire towers have been widely used in 220kV transmission lines. So far, people have accumulated certain calculation experience and experimental data, but for a long time there has been no unified calculation method for the main column. In recent years, 500 kV lines have been used on the cable towers. With the increase of voltage, the height of the towers has increased and they have to bear larger loads. The ratio of length to length of the main column is also increased. If there is slight negligence in the design, it may cause damage to the entire tower. Because of the very slender main column, the critical stress is very low.
