2014年,由北京市文物局牵头,以北京市属博物馆为基础资源,联合故宫博物院、国家博物馆以及多家外省市博物馆,合作推出一系列精品文物展览,打造“博物馆展览季”。作为北京市对外文化交流的重要窗口,首都博物馆在博物馆展览季中,通过举办不同类型、不同内容、不同形式的临时展览,打造出新的博物馆文化品牌,提升了博物馆的文化形象,增加了博物馆的文化魅力,加大了博物馆对观众的吸引力,同时还扩大了地域间的文化交流,对促进北京市文博事业的发展具有重要意义。
