通过对摆式列车的特点和适应范围的分析，论述了在西南地区开行摆式列车的必要性和和可行性。用财务分析法对西南地区２００５年、２０１５年开行摆式列车的经济效益进行了估算。结果表明，在西南地区开行摆式列车是可行的，经济效益和社会效益是可观的。若采用国产设备，效益将更加显著。
Through the analysis of characteristics and adaptive scope of tilting trains, the necessity and feasibility of starting tilting trains in southwest China are discussed. Using financial analysis method to estimate the economic benefits of swinging trains in southwest China in 2005 and 2015. The results show that it is feasible to start tilting trains in southwest China, and the economic and social benefits are considerable. If using domestic equipment, the benefits will be more significant.
