The application of photosensitivity to the diagnosis and treatment of cancer is a new technique that has emerged in recent years. At present, there are 30 to 40 medical centers in foreign countries that are conducting this research. The United States, Japan, Australia, Canada, Italy and other countries have carried out many basic research and are initially applied in clinical practice. China began to study this therapy in the Beijing area in 1980. Many units in the military also attached great importance to this technology. Following the extraction of hematoporphyrins from bovine blood by the Beijing Institute of Pharmaceutical Industry, the use of hematoporphyrin derivatives for intravenous use was investigated. The inner brother unit has made some progress in drug extraction, basic research and clinical experiments.
