Comprehensive studies on the crustal structures, the anomalies of geophysical field and the seismicity in Central South Shanxi are conducted. The research results show that there are deep tectonic background for occurring moderate earthquakes in Lingshi-Jiexiu region between Linfen and Taiyuan.
