在明、清两代,曾涌现出许多彪炳青史的清官廉吏,他们律己爱民,铁面无私,深受百姓拥戴和推崇。流传下来的许多“拒礼”诗就是他们一身正气、两袖清风的真实写照。明代吴讷刚直公正、廉洁自持,曾任监察御史。一次他奉朝廷之命巡视贵州,考察完吏治返京途中,地方土司派人追至夔州以黄金百两相送,央求他回去后在皇帝面前多多美言。吴讷拒不受礼,在礼盒上写诗道:“萧萧行李向东还,要过前途最险滩。若有赃私并土物,任教沉在碧波
