转化是小学数学教学中常见的一种思想方法。转化思想的实质就是对于直接求解比较困难的问题,通过观察、分析、类比、联想等思维过程,选择恰当的方法进行变换,将原问题转化为自己较熟悉、能求解的新问题进行求解,从而达到解决原问题的目的。具体包括:未知(新知)转化为已知(旧知)、复杂问题转化为简单问题、抽象问题转化为具体问题等。“平行四边形的面积”一课是比较典型的化未知(新知)为已知(旧知)的课例。
