Use of health services According to the survey results of family health inquiries, US residents treated 5.2 cases per person per year in 1985, 5.8 cases for women and 4.5 cases for men. In the number of visits, 58.1% of the visits were in the doctor’s office, 14.6% in the hospital outpatient department, and 13.8% in the telephone consultation. The average age of children under the age of 6 is 6.3 visits per year, 3.1 visits between the ages of 6 and 16; 4.7 visits between the ages of 17 and 44; 6.1 visits between the ages of 45 and 64; and 8.3 visits per year per person over the age of 65. Household economic income is not significantly related to the number of visits, but the proportion of high household income in private clinics and telephone visits is significantly higher than the low income.
