今天,IT系统已成为各行各业业务运转和管理的最基础设施。然而,在基础网络建设告一段落之后,如何维护和管理日益复杂的网络系统,使之能够保障用户关键业务系统的健康运行,逐渐成为了网络管理者需要攻克的新挑战。目前网络管理可分为带外管理和带内管理两种管理模式。前者是指,网络的管理控制信息与用户网络的承载业务信息在不同的逻辑信道传送;后者则相反,信息是通过同一个逻辑信道传送的。目前,大多数用户使用带外管理系统实现了对服务器网络设备的集中控制和远程管理以及电源的远程控制;而在对网络的监控、告警及性能管理等方面大多通过带内管理系统(即各种各样的网络管理软件)来实现。
