自1956年文化部召开了第一次全国巡迴演出工作会議以来,特別是自去年大跃进以来,我国艺术表演团体在坚持剧場演出的同时,又有計划地巡迴演出,上山下乡,深入厂矿和連队,給工农兵送戏上門,已取得了巨大成績,积累了很多好的經驗。全体戏剧工作者經过几年来的实践,越来越深刻地认識了这一工作的重大政治意义:一方面,可以更好地为政治,为生产,为工农兵服务;另方面,这是广大艺术工作者改造思想,提高共产主义觉悟和提高艺术质量的重要手段。巡迴演出制度是彻底貫彻毛主席文艺方針,繁荣和发展艺术事业的重要措施——这是在文化部召开的1960年度全国巡迴演出工作会議上,所有到会代表的一致看法。
