犬展中的非常规组(Non regular group)举办犬赛的俱乐部可以组织一些非常规组。单独展和组别展中更有可能出现这些非常规组,因为这类犬展时间更加充裕。资格申请表必须在犬展前与奖金单一同寄出。非常规组可能是单犬参加比赛的(只有一只犬要接受裁判的检查,比如老龄犬组或野外测试组)也可以是多犬参赛,如2～3只犬作为一个小组参加比赛(比如种公犬组,种母犬组以及双犬组)。如在比赛中保持不败,获胜的犬可以角逐最佳犬种。多犬参加组的胜者则不可以晋级最佳犬种的角逐。
