In this paper, we have studied the oxidation kinetics of hydrogenated 2-ethylanthraquinone. The reaction is carried out with molecular oxygen in a gas-liquid reactor, which is a major reaction in the commercial production of hydrogen peroxide. It has been observed that the reaction rate is strongly influenced by the mass transfer of oxygen through the liquid film. The mass transfer coefficient of oxygen has been experimentally measured with the aid of current-measuring membrane electrodes in some absorption-desorption operations. Kinetic experiments have been performed in three types of reactors: (1) Levenspiel reactors with small interfacial area; (2) continuous stirred tank reactions
