从文化的角度来说,新媒体艺术(NewMediaArt)在西方的发展可分为三个阶段,数码艺术属于离我们最近的一个阶段,也即新媒体艺术走向架上的阶段。这三个阶段可分划如下:(1)20世纪初的先锋艺术时期(机械时代、电影时代)。艺术家们使用“新媒体”的文化逻辑是:1、摧毁艺术的手工艺基础,用机器代替画笔,用机器美学代替传统美学;2、突破艺术的界限,以新媒体、新技术为基础来服务大众,柯布西耶的“住房机器”、维尔托夫的“电影眼睛”学派等都属此类。(2)20世纪50年代末到70年代末的
From a cultural point of view, NewMediaArt’s development in the West can be divided into three phases. Digital art belongs to the phase closest to us, that is, the phase of new media art going on the shelf. These three stages can be divided as follows: (1) Avant-garde art period in the early 20th century (mechanical era, film era). The cultural logic that artists use of “new media” is: 1. Destroying the art foundation of craftsmanship, replacing the brush with machines, replacing the traditional aesthetics with machine aesthetics; 2. Breaking the boundaries of art and serving the public based on new media and new technologies , Corbusier’s “housing machine”, Vittorf’s “movie eyes” school belong to this category.
