串叶松香草(Silphium Perfolium L.)为北京植物园1979年从国外引入的新兴饲料作物,在北京和陕西等地试种成功后,不久就推广到华北、西北和东北南部,栽培面积近10万亩。经大面积种植结果,确认串叶松香草为优良的高产饲料作物,一次种植可利用数年,一年可以割3—4次(北京),每亩可产青饲料6000～8000kg,最高可达万千克以上。化学分析结果表明,干物质中粗蛋白质含量接近20%,并含有多量的糖、微量元素和多种维生素等。由于产量高,品质好,可制成为牛所喜食的优质青贮饲料,所以深受养牛户欢迎,于是一个大种串叶松香草之风很快席卷全国,串叶松香草种子的价格,也由每
Silphium Perfolium L., an emerging feed crop imported from abroad in Beijing Botanical Garden in 1979, was soon introduced to northern China, northwestern and northeastern China after successful planting trials in Beijing and Shaanxi, with a cultivation area of nearly 100,000 mu.
