This year marks the 60th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the world anti-fascist war. At this juncture that records the suffering and glory of the Chinese nation, we review the desperate struggle for justice and evil 60 years ago, the light and the darkness, and further strengthened our determination and confidence to follow the path of peaceful development. The War of Resistance Against Japan is a Great Just War. More than 60 years ago, at the critical moment of national crisis, the Chinese religious community carried forward the fine tradition of patriotism and love to participate in the anti-Japanese national united front and made its own contribution to the victory of the war of resistance. Although the smoke of the war has gone, history can not be forgotten, and peace needs to be cherished. On August 14, the Peace Committee of the Religious Community of China held a symposium in Beijing and published a “Notice of Peace in China's Religious Circles,” further demonstrating the sacred duty of the Chinese religious community in safeguarding world peace. At the meeting, representatives of the five major religions reviewed and revisited the history from the perspective of their respective religions, reached a profound conclusion that “keeping the peace cherished in history,” and issued the common aspiration of “jointly safeguarding world peace.” Just as the victory of the war of resistance can not be achieved without the active participation of the religious circles and the masses of religious believers, China's peaceful development can not be separated from the joint efforts of the religious circles and the masses of religious believers. In this issue, we summarize the speeches of five religious people in memory of the 60th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
