I. INTRODUCTION The mean depth of the Taiwan Strait is not more than 50 meters and typhoons frequently hit. Due to the “wall effect” on the island of Taiwan and the “narrow pipe effect” in the Taiwan Strait, the typhoon storm surge in the Taiwan Strait appears to be unique. In the past, most of the studies on typhoon storm surges in Fujian coastal areas by us and other fraternal units were confined to the study of gas-hydrodynamic interactions in single stations and seldom involve the entire strait. Although we also conducted on-site surveys of typhoon storm surges on the coasts of Fujian Province, we have conducted only a limited number of investigations into the situation in some areas of the western coast of the Taiwan Straits. It can only reflect one aspect of the typhoon storm in the Taiwan Strait but can not understand the entire strait area Storm surge picture. In order to further clarify and study the formation mechanism and general law of typhoon storm surges in the Taiwan Strait and do a good job in forecasting typhoon storm surge and preventing moisture in Taiwan in this area,
