万山汞矿位于湘黔汞矿带南段中部。已知矿床群分布在北西西向Ⅰ级“横夸半背斜”两翼和近轴部地段。近几年在其南区外围同级“横夸半向斜”中发现阳个深埋地下400—600米的中寒武统上部层控矿床,储量具大,中型矿床规模,地表无明显找矿标志。占孔原生晕工作提供这两个矿床之间和有矿、无矿地段之间存在一定的地球化学差异。本文采用数学地质方法对该区地质构造和地化特征及找矿予测作一探讨。
