In Ming Dynasty’s Wei Xue’s book “The Legend of the Navy”, there are two sentences: “The head of the boat is about eight points long and odd, and the high can be two.” For the word “黍”, many books and magazines are interpreted as “Yellow rice” or “yellow rice seed,” and it seems that this explanation has become a relatively popular statement. For example, the fourth volume of junior high school Chinese textbooks interprets “high and low ambiguity” as “about two yellow rice grains are as high”. “Ciyuan” also said in the interpretation of the word “黍”: “The person who is a member of the family and sticky person ... ... is also the person who is the northerner.” I think that “黍” and “Yellow Rice” are certainly related, but the two are different and they should not be confused.
