In our previous review of the History of Reception Files series, it was specifically mentioned that as early as the 1940s, Disney’s animated films were publicly displayed in cinemas in major cities like Shanghai and Tianjin. This is a historical encounter between the mainland audience and the American animated film and television works. After the founding of New China, due to the tight relations between China and the United States, until the reform and opening up, China did not formally introduce television animation films or animated films originated in the United States. In 1979, China and the United States formally established diplomatic relations and the two countries stepped into the most intensive period of cooperation in history. In terms of culture, exchanges between the two sides have also reached an unprecedented level of activity, of which the United States has played an active role in animation.
