我厂制造自行車零件中的外鋼碗(图1)和內鋼碗(图2),在制造过程中要經过鍛制及冲压等工序。冲压时要应用許多模具,如外鋼碗要用一套落料模(图3)、一套成形模(图4)和一套冲孔模(图5),內鋼碗要用一套热冲模(图6)。这些模具在过去都要用合金工具鋼来制造,而且必須是高級优貭合金鋼(12或3 2 8),規格要求很严,似乎已經成为老規矩,不能改变的。在大跃进的形势下,合金工具鋼的应用范圍和需要量都越来越广,因此就不能墨守旧規,一成不变。我厂职工在党和領导的支持下,破除迷信,解放思想,工人与技术人員、車間管理員密切配合,試驗用低碳鋼代替合金工具鋼来制造冷热冲模。經过不断摸索后,終于試制成功,并得到上級
