唐代张彦远《历代名画记》最早形成了中国古代绘画的价值品第“理论”。在该书的“论价值品第”节中,张彦远站在客观的立场,结合绘画的批评标准,重在讨论绘画的价值。其以书画优劣和价值高低为尊,涉及到书画真伪与优良的判定,不盲从于古人与市场,可谓是反映了一个优秀史学家和艺术批评家的良知。
In the Tang Dynasty, Zhang Yanyuan’s “Famous Paintings of Various Dynasties” earliest formed the value article “Theory ” of ancient Chinese paintings. In the book “On the value of article ” section, Zhang Yan Yuan stood objective position, combined with the critique of painting standards, focusing on discussing the value of painting. It regards the pros and cons of calligraphy and painting as the respect for the value, relates to the authenticity and fine judgment of calligraphy and painting, and does not blindly follow the ancients and the market. It can be said that it reflects the conscience of an outstanding historian and art critic.
