Northern blot hybridization and radioligand binding assay were used to detect the changes of NM-DA receptor in rat cerebral cortex during Bordetella pertussis brain injury. The results showed that the Kd value of the bacterium group was lower than that of the control group (P <0.05), and the expression of NMDAR1 mRNA and the Bmax value were not significantly different from the control group (P> 0.05). It is suggested that the NMDA receptor mainly displays the activation of receptor function and the increase of affinity. It is not the change of gene expression that changes the number of receptors.
