一篇戏剧理论文章说:“唯恐落伍,是在话剧新潮强大压力下出现的心理恐惧症。”也许由于迟纯,我和此文作者的感觉不同,似乎并未患上这种“心理恐惧症”。“话剧新潮”是有的,若说已然形成了“强大压力”则有言过其实、虚张声势之嫌。对“话剧新潮”,多数演员是取林连昆同志所说“以不变应万变”的态度的,似乎还行得通。但我们也在思索。如果说有恐惧的话,我的“恐惧”在另一个方面——“演员——独立的艺术家”,今后在话剧艺术中,还有没有他的位置?
