工具书是一种依据特定的需要,按一定的体例和检索式编排,专供查阅资料线索的图书。学会和善于利用工具书,不但有助于学生的自主学习,而且可以开阔视野,启迪思维。在小学阶段教会学生使用工具书,养成借助工具书自主学习的良好习惯,必将终身受益。然而在现实教学中,学生对工具书的认识和使用存在很多问题。通过对本校学生使用工具书情况的摸底调查发现,从意识层次上讲,大多数学生都没有使用工具书的习惯,遇到学习障碍,即便工具书就放在书包里也懒得拿出来;从操作层次上
