笔者前因阅读唐人碑志,其中所得已整理为《读唐人碑志札记》,此后又陆续发现碑志中的一些零碎材料,从中或可窥唐时风尚,或可补前贤论碑志文体之阙,特将之拾掇成篇,名之日《续读唐人碑志札记》,以就正于世之博雅君子。所取碑志,不限于石刻。一宋代洪迈《容斋随笔》卷一《罗处士志》云:“襄阳有隋处士罗君墓志曰:‘君讳靖,字礼,襄阳广昌人。高祖长卿,齐饶州刺史。曾祖弘智,梁殿中将军。祖养,父靖,学优不仕,有名当代。’碑字画劲楷,类褚河南,然父子皆名靖,为不可晓。拓拔魏安同父名屈,同之长子
