海棠花(Malus spectabilis)是蔷薇科苹果属落叶小乔木,花繁叶茂,在华北、华东等地区广为栽培,是早春重要的观花树种,现将其栽培技术介绍如下。形态特征海棠花株型峭立,树高可达8m,小枝红褐色,幼时疏生柔毛,叶椭圆形至长椭圆形,长6～9cm,伞形花序,花4～6朵,具长花梗,花在蕾期较红艳,开放后呈淡粉白色,花径4～5cm,单瓣或重瓣,花期4～5月。
