对局灶性内囊梗塞病人进行正中神经体感诱发电位顶、中央前成份研究，结果提示单纯运动障碍组均表现为中央前成份异常，单纯感觉障碍组均表现为顶成份异常，混合障碍组顶、中央前成份均异常。结果证实了一种感觉投射新模式即电刺激外周神经后冲动到丘脑腹侧后外侧核，经多道（至少部份是独立的）投射系统投射到顶中央前回皮层，对研究人脑感觉信息处理过程可能提供某些有益的电生理学依据。
The patients with focal internal infarction had median and somatosensory evoked potentials at the top and middle anterior components. The results indicated that all patients with dyskinesia showed an anterior central component abnormality. The results demonstrate a new model of sensory projection that impulsively excites peripheral nerves and then implantes into the ventral lateral ventricle of the thalamus and projects them to the apical central cortex through a multitude of (at least partially independent) projection systems to study human brain sensory information processing The process may provide some useful electrophysiological basis.
