玉树蝠蛾（Ｈｅｐｉａｌｕｓｙｕｓｈｕｅｎｓｉｓ）是甘肃虫草的主要寄主昆虫之一，主要分布在甘力虫草的主产区甘南境内的西倾山系。该虫在海拔３６００ｍ的自然状态下，完成一代需１１１０．１天。幼虫世代重叠，以幼虫在冻土层中越冬，每代越冬３次，累计越冬期长达４５０天。最适幼虫生长发育的地温是７～１０℃，土壤含水量为４０％～４６％，ｐＨ值为６．０～６．３。生活土壤为亚高山草甸土，初孵幼虫取食莎草科植物须根及就近植物嫩根；２龄以后取食珠芽蓼、圃穗蓼、蕨麻等块根。
Hepialus yushuensis is one of the major host insects of Cordyceps mongolicus in Gansu Province, and is mainly distributed in the Xixie Mountains in Gannan, the main producing area of Cordyceps militaris. The insects in the natural state of 3600m above sea level, the need to complete a generation of 1110.1 days. The larvae overlap each other, with larvae overwintering in the frozen soil layer, each generation overwinter three times, the cumulative winter period up to 450 days. The optimal temperature for the growth and development of the larvae is 7 ~ 10 ℃, the soil water content is 40% ~ 46% and the pH value is 6.0 ~ 6.3. The living soil is sub-alpine meadow soil, and the newly hatched larvae take the fibrous roots of Cyperaceae and the tender roots of nearby plants. After the 2nd instar larvae, they take the root of Polygonum viviparum, Polygonum nurseryum, Potentilla and other roots.
