坐在家中,鼠标一点就可以与千里之外的“名教”进行沟通,这在几年前还是不敢想象的事情,而今天,全国的远程教育学院已经有45所,在读学生达到四十多万,针对中小学生的网校也遍地开花。网校学生的日益增多表明:社会大众已经开始接受并逐渐喜欢上了远程教育。 远程教育的快速发展与国家政策的有力支持是分不开的。网络跨越时空的特性使得远程教育可以极大限度地实现教育资源的共享,从而有效地解决我国教育资源匮乏、资金短缺的现实问题。因此,国家教育部门在研究和考察了国外发达国家远程教育的发展状况后,于1999年开始在全国部分重点高校试行远程教育,并将远程教育列入教育部的“十五”规划。
