科学教育是澳大利亚幼儿园课程的个重要组成部分,其内容丰富多彩,形式生动有趣,方法灵活多样。教师在对幼儿进行科学启蒙教育时,比较重视以下几个方面。(一)激发幼儿对科学的兴趣要使幼儿学习科学,懂得科学,首先要激发幼儿对科学的兴趣。为此,澳大利亚的教师一般都能广泛收集各种科学活动材料,开辟科学活动区,设立多种科学角,如科学陈列角、科学游戏角、科学实验角以及植物种植角、动物饲养角等等。通过各种物体的千姿百态,自然现象的千变万化,科技产品的神奇魅力,以及规律的奇妙作用,来吸引幼儿的注意力,激发幼儿的好奇心、求知欲以及对科学的浓厚兴趣。(二)选择幼儿科学活动的主题幼儿科学活动主题的选择往往受许多因素的制约:幼儿的兴趣爱好,教师的价
