序1989年4月26日,日本与美国共同组织召开的“日美地下空间利用研讨会”(该会在美国明尼苏达大学地下空间中心举行)。这是日美之间最大规模的一次双边交流、研讨地下空间的学术性会议,美方参加21人,日方参加41名。美方几乎都是学者,而日本参加人员中包括了日本政府机构要员(通产省)、大学教授(东京大学)、财团(日本技术振兴会)及国内最有名的建筑业界(共36个株式会社),面广、层次高。在这次会议上,美国明尼苏达大学的R.Stering(地下空间中心所长、副教授)博士作了基调报告。我从日本友人处获取了这份很有价值的报告,现编译整理成中文,供同行们参考。
In April 26, 1989, Japan and the United States jointly organized the “Japan-U.S. Underground Space Utilization Symposium” (which was held at the University of Minnesota Underground Space Center). This is the largest bilateral exchange between Japan and the United States and an academic conference for studying underground space. The United States has participated in 21 people and the Japanese has participated in 41. The U.S. side is almost all scholars, and Japan’s participants include Japanese government officials (MMS), university professors (Tokyo University), consortium (Japan Technology Promotion Association) and the most famous construction industry in the country (36 in total).
