Three bile salts, sodium cholate (CA), sodium deoxycholate (DCA) and sodium salt of 12 (sodium dodecyl sulfate), were evaluated in n-octanol / buffered saline systems at pH 5 and 7.4 -monoketocholic acid (MKC)] on the distribution coefficient (D) of the highly lipophilic drug simvastatin (SV). There are 2 forms of drug in the system: lactone form (SVL) and acid form (SVA). The concentration of SV in the aqueous phase was determined by HPLC-DAD method.
