地支,作为汉代铜镜中的装饰铭文,应该起始于西汉晚期,流行于新莽时期,衰落于东汉中后期。汉镜中为何会以地支铭文作装饰?其中究竟蕴藏着怎样的文化内涵?为探寻答案,笔者查阅相关资料,感觉到汉镜中装饰的地支铭文,应该与古代历法中的纪时和民俗中的生肖有着千丝万缕的关系。一.地支在汉镜中的装饰类型根据笔者目前搜集的资料,饰有地支铭文的汉代铜镜,大致可分为三种类型:单圈铭文镜、四乳镜和博局镜。
